The Pain of All Pains is to Come on 5 May

Amateur riders won’t be left without a race either because, as the sequel of the „One Belt One Road” Cycling Tournament of Qinghai Lake-Hungary, the 17th Kínok Kínja (Pain of All Pains) cycling field race will be organised on Sunday 5 May in the city of Esztergom.

Date: April 30, 2019

The competition, which is also the 5th Leg of the 2019 Hungarian Amateur Cycling Championship and part of the Tokyo Olympic Trial series, is held for the 17th time. Those who are interested can choose between two distances: a 27km short and 123 km long distance route. The „Kínok Kínja” race is a highly expected one-day mountain competition in Hungary: there are only few races which take their toll on riders to such extent.

The participants of the 3-lap long-distance race will have to fight a total ascent of about 1400m, as from the direction of Pilismarót, they have to climb the mountain of Két-Bükkfa nyereg three times using the recently renovated forestry road, then rush down straight towards the city of Esztergom. At the end of the last lap, they will reach their finish in front of one of the main landmarks of Esztergom, the Cathedral.
